Your inputs
Text and calculation inputs are processed in your browser. The tool does not send those inputs to our server. Download buttons create files on your device. Copy buttons use your device’s clipboard after you request them.
Optional draft storage
The Remember my draft option is off by default. Enabling it stores your text in local storage in this browser profile. Disabling it removes the saved draft. Other users of your device or browser profile may be able to access a saved draft. Browser extensions, clipboard managers and operating-system tools are outside our control.
Hosting and access information
The hosting provider necessarily receives connection information such as an IP address, browser request and requested page when serving this site. Hosting security and operational logs may be processed by the provider. Do not treat browser-local calculations as a guarantee that no connection information is processed when visiting a website.
Contact and requests
If you email support@charactercounterhq.com, we receive the contents of your message and the contact information you send, to respond to your request. Do not email confidential drafts, passwords or financial details. You may ask for deletion of correspondence, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.

External sites have their own privacy practices. This page may be updated when the site’s features or advertising status changes. Check the effective date and this page for the current description.
Google advertising services
This site includes the Google AdSense tag and is awaiting Google's site review. Including the tag does not mean ads are approved, displayed, or earning revenue. We do not use Google Analytics.
Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, browser and device identifiers, and information about visits to this and other websites to deliver, measure and personalize ads, prevent abuse, and remember privacy choices. Advertising services receive connection information when their resources are requested, even if no ad is displayed. We do not intentionally pass your calculator inputs, drafts, or uploaded source images to the advertising tag.

Your advertising and cookie choices
Google's European consent message is configured for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, with Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options choices. Where shown, use Privacy and cookie settings at the bottom of the page to change or withdraw a prior consent choice. Google's US state privacy message is configured for supported states; where shown, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising.
These messages depend on Google's tag, site approval, your region, and browser availability. They may not appear while review is pending or if a content blocker prevents Google services from loading. You can also manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center, visit industry advertising choices, or manage cookies in your browser. These controls do not remove all ads, and preferences can be specific to a browser or device. The tools remain available if you decline advertising consent.
